# Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about the synthetic session, AI processing, access, pricing and your data.

## What does synthetic mean?

Every workspace today uses one generated Jerez session with a fictional GT4 car, #27. The laps, traces and context are made up for the evaluation, so you can judge the workflow without sharing any data.

## Can I upload my own telemetry?

Not yet. MoTeC and AiM CSV import is on the design-partner roadmap for the 2027 season. Today there is no upload of any kind.

## What is sent to OpenAI, and how long is it kept?

Only when you request an analysis: the evidence you selected and your saved context notes. Requests go to the OpenAI API with storage disabled, and the provider may keep them for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring. [Data ownership](https://apexscout.racing/data-ownership) shows the full flow.

## Does the AI decide what to change?

No. It writes driving and setup hypotheses with the evidence they cite and what is missing, labelled AI-generated, advisory. You decide what to test, and you can correct the context and request a revised analysis.

## Who gets access, and how?

Race engineers, team managers and drivers working on a race program. Request access from the [contact page](https://apexscout.racing/contact?topic=access). The founder reviews each request and invites you to a private workspace; there is no public sign-up.

## How much does it cost?

Free during the private evaluation; design-partner terms agreed individually.

## Who owns the data?

Your account and workspace are yours, and deleting your account deletes them. For design partners from 2027, team data stays the team's, with export and deletion when a team leaves and no cross-team training. Apex Scout owns the software, models and weights.

## Can I delete my account?

Yes. Delete it from the account page in the Racing app. Your workspace and contact messages are deleted with it.

## How does Racing relate to apexscout.app?

Apex Scout at [apexscout.app](https://apexscout.app) is for track-day drivers. Racing is a separate product for race engineers, with its own accounts and database. The two share a founder, not your data.
